Nate's school informed him today, a week before school starts ... via an email, that the internship positions have been eliminated. Now he has neither an internship nor a source of income. REALLY, Grace? Oh, and we still need to buy a car. I'm wondering what we're supposed to be learning from all of this. It better be really, really good!
Right now we're living off of our savings and my part-time job. Good thing we're not materialistic.

deep breaths. remember the scripture you posted on facebook. (im sorry if you dont actually want a response like that)
can he find an internship on his own? i know some people did that when i was getting my msw...
@willmar81 - There are some UNpaid ones. It's the principle .... letting them know via email, a week before? He quit his stable, full-time job for this. They could have used a little more class. I mean, we pay them enough for class, I think. Yes, we do.
@oneparkbench - oh yeah, i didnt mean to imply that it was tactful. i agree on the shady part, yes i do, yes i do...
@willmar81 - I have faith that things will work out for the better and I'm not angry at the entire college. I'm just saddened by the lack of concern that was shown for the interns. The person that sent the email knows that Nate quit his job for this ... they know that he now has no income in which to support his family. I'm surprised at the flippancy. We can get flippant treatment at a huge, state school. I just expected more out of a small, private school.
Seriously?!? I'm a little angry for you. We'll be praying something better comes up quickly.
since we already chatted about this, all i want to add is:
STUUUUPEEEED!
ugh. grace, come on now.
